Grade Level: 3rd-8th grade boys and 3rd -6th grade girls
Fee: $125
Equipment Provided: Team uniform
Practice: Team practices begin in November.
Games: Saturdays
Games Played: Columbia Sports Fieldhouse or a CPS gym
3rd-8th grade division:
Teams are formed first by school , then by space available on other teams. Please note that early registrants take precedence and returning to coaches will be based on the majority of the players and coaches school of attendance. If there is more than one team per school, then teams within that school will be formed randomly. CYBA does not honor team/player/coach requests. Players must register by October 22nd before team formation to be guaranteed a position on a team with school peers.
Players must play in their grade level.
Games begin January 6th through March 2nd with a snow makeup on March 9th 2024.
Teams in grades 3rd-6th boys and 3rd-6th girls start with a pre season Jamboree on December 9th or 10th with a guarantee of 2 games per team! This is not a tournament but just a great way to start the season with a lot of FUN!
***6th grade: CYBA does not accept player requests to return to their elementary school team/coach. CYBA forms teams randomly by the Middle schools that players attend. CYBA is a recreational league and we strive to keep the teams balanced as much as possible.
***7th graders who play on their school team can play/practice with CYBA after their season is complete at their school (We suggest signing 7th/8th graders up before October 22nd to assure a spot on a team by team formation deadline). Teams are typically full if you wait to sign up after the school season is over on December 17th.
***8th grade boys who make their school ball team are ineligible to play CYBA. CYBA encourages you to register your player to save a spot at team formation. Please notify CYBA if your player makes the team.
*CYBA reserves the right to combine divisions based on number of registrations received at the time of team coordination.
